Our mission:
To create a private community of support and prayer for men and women as they embark on their reproductive journey to build God's future generations from trying to conceive, through pregnancy, and in the postpartum period.
Who we are:
We are a ministry for those who are planning to conceive, expecting a child, or have recently delivered (within 6 months).
The name of our group is Genesis which means origin or coming into being. From the time a seed is fertilized, life and an original journey begins. Each individual has their own story whether planned or God's planned, challenging or assisted, or even adoptive. Some of you may be starting your family, others may be adding to an established family. Either way every child is a unique blessing with characteristics only he/she will possess. The bible states His children are intricately woven, sanctified, and ordained way before they are formed within the womb. God that has been there since Genesis, is faithful to remain with you till the revelation. Whether this is your first or fifth child we are here to support you along the way.
This phase of life can be quite exciting and often feels like being on a rollercoaster ride. For some, it can be lonely, confusing, frustrating, and challenging. The power of prayer during this phase of life cannot be overemphasized. Through fellowship and prayers, we get to know and enjoy God's promises for our lives and partner with the Almighty to bring forth and nurture our offspring(s).
What we do:
Through monthly meetings, a private group chat, and interactive group activities we provide a listening ear, a helping hand, and a shoulder to lean on throughout your journey. We worship, pray, and share counsel regarding several topics including conception, pregnancy, labor and birth.
The ministry is facilitated by health professionals such as OBGYN physicians, midwives and women’s health nurse practitioners.
